It’s got to be a partial list, but here’s ‘everything’ I’m reading right now. It’s late fall, 08, and I’m a very, slow,, reader,,,.
The Pickwick Papers (link to eco-bag site) (actually, to be fair, I have decided to throw this one, the book not the bags, back into the sea).
Amis‘ Koba the Dread.
Bodley on anthropology and contemporary probs.
Clans of the Alphane Moon. PKD.
Elo’s thesis on refugees and information.
Everyware by Greenfield, still.
Eriksen & Nielsen’s history of anthropology.
Shane Claiborne.
Kallistos Ware, The Orthodox Way.
…and that’s probably most of it, for now. I got different books to pick up in different rooms. I got one for the truck (that’s Le Carre).
…maybe I’ll do an ‘everything i’m writing’ post, too. That’d be, very slowly, 2 active novels (1 on hiatus), and a smattering of info-sci and travel freelance articles I’m trying to shop some homes for. Academic opinion in editorial process with ALA. A comic script (more than one of those on hiatus) that probably needs to be turned into a straight prose thing, of some stripe. Bunches. This blog, as it happens. The non-fic library 3.0 piece that’s done, at least roughly, for Chandos – still gotz finishing up to do for that, et. c. I’m f-ing busy.
And tomorrow morning I’ll turn up at the official job — that job that gets me insurance and mortagage money and stuff. And I’ll, there, help the info-ignorant become info-literate. And I love that.
Don’t even ask about WE.FIND.
