= Update =

Okay, this deserves some sort of attempt at articulation (more than just a smiley icon).  Briefly, the main-most thing that strikes me now was that I was so emotionally struck last night.  In the months up to the election, I was all critical and sifting for subtexts — a very mental game.  But at 10 PM CST, when my wife and I saw the graphic pop up once the adverts were over, and it said 44th President, Barack Obama, we were immediately on our feet.  I was jumping.  I was glubbing.  I wasn’t expecting that; having spent so long being left-brained about the campaigns, I was suddenly overcome, and suddenly praying that angels walk with him and all of us, and I couldn’t keep the tears from coming.  Even now, they’re close.  We did it.  We all did it.  And the future might just be a cool place again.

Now — back to work,  harder than ever.
