Just looking at some spore creature videos, and it reminds me of chilling out in the courtyard of the Second Life Library (some thoughts on SL Library here, and in Building Library 3.0 (esp. interview w/ Lori in appendix I) and being pestered by hunchbacked imps with phalluses on their foreheads. Yep. When people can create anything they want easily, the price of creating crap drops real low. Low prices means more of the crap.
In the future you can look forward to some 1) startlingly beutiful weirdness, 2) some startling weirdness, 3) some dull weirdness, 4) some fun/delicious ugly junk, and 5) some really boring ugly junk. And this new design power will get embodied. We’ll all be wearing and being it.
