		<description>The one wrong word here, maybe (or 'a' wrong word out of others, maybe), is the second use of 'dirt'.  'Mud' would have been cheap.  But ash could be the missed opportunity, because it is all ash -- our dead forebears become corn and beans and watermelon.  It's not just "dirt": it is a matrix of life-in-place, in-county, in-community, in-field and house.  That bag of purple-hull peas that appears on the trailer's door stoop -- it appears just when the milk's ran dry and the laundromat in town has stopped hiring.  The dirt is a sacrament.</description>
